Alexander Dennis Enviro 500 (Volvo engine)

Purchased brand new for the 15X service, 1 vehicle was bought as a trial with an option available for a second. This is the largest vehicle in the fleet and is fitted to full eXpress serivices specification.

1 of 7 presidents bought secondhand from Ensignbus stock in 2014. 2510 wears standard fleet livery and can often be seen working school routes and on Handirider routes 1 and 2.

Alexander Dennis Enviro 200 MMC

Brand new in July 2016, first example of ADL's new MMC bodywork to enter the KHCT fleet. Will be used on routes 1 & 2 with a view to further purchases. Currently the flagship vehicle of the single decker fleet.

Joined the fleet in September 2015 in an attempt to modernise the company's back up/operational spare vehicles. Yet to enter service, vehicle will wear regular fleet livery and will be a spare vehicle for routes 1 & 2.

Joined the fleet in September 2015 in an attempt to modernise the company's back up/operational spare vehicles. Vehicle wears a stunning KHCT heritage livery, complete with traditional red painted wheels. This livery reflects one worn by 6 KHCT Scania single decks in the late 80s/90s, known as "City Slickers"

Brand new in 2015 for the 1 & 2 Boothferry Estate services. KHCT has the option of three more of these vehicles, as such, Fleet numbers 2520, 2521 & 2522 are reserved.

KHCT excercised the company's option to purchase an additional Omnicity for routes 1 & 2. Vehicle is yet to enter service due to a busy paint shop.

Wright Eclipse Mk.2 (Volvo engine)

A pair of Mk.2 eclipses were added to the fleet in October 2015. This purchase enabled a number of elderly President bodied tridents to leave the fleet. More of this vehicle type are expected to arrive in the new year which could see Levantes 2523 - 2525 re-numbered.

A pair of Mk.2 eclipses were added to the fleet in October 2015. This purchase enabled a number of elderly President bodied tridents to leave the fleet. More of this vehicle type are expected to arrive in the new year which could see Levantes 2523 - 2525 re-numbered.

January 2016 saw the delivery of a third Eclipse Mk2. Identical to 2521 & 2522, The vehicle will be added to the route 1 & 2 allocation.

A single Enviro 200 arrived in November 2015 as part of the upgrade of routes 1 & 2. Another 2 new vehicles are expexted to arrive during December 2015 to complete fleet modernisation for Handirider routes 1 & 2.

2 vehicles joined the fleet mid 2015 from Ensignbus part exchange stock to increase standard low floor capacity. Both vehicles fully refurbished by KHCT to standard specification. They will see use throughout the network, although it is envisiged that they will form part of the new look Unibus service.

East Lancs Myllennium Vyking

A secondhand East Lancs Myllennium Vyking has joined the fleet and been completely refurbished to a high specification. This bus's role within the fleet is as an operational spare for Handirider services & the 701 parkridehull brand, it's livery reflects this.

The only single door double deck variant of the Omnicity in the fleet. This vehicle wears standard fleet livery and can be found on routes 1 & 2 as well as Unibus service 106.

One of two dealer stock tri-axle Irizars which arrived early January 2016. Due to heavy usage on the X62 KHCT increased the number of journeys made a day, in turn this led to a higher vehicle requirement, Also this vehicle along with sister 2552 are the first buses in the fleet to carry names (Charlotte-Katie & Emily-May)

Wright Eclipse Gemini II (Volvo B9TL)

A brand new Volvo B9TL with Gemini 2 bodywork has joined KHCT, the first single entrance version to join the fleet. The vehicle is also our first 2016 registered bus (YY16 YOR). This is a continuation of our fleet renewal plan which now means no President bodied Tridents are left in the frontline fleet, instead relegated to School duties only. The bus wears Handirider livery and will be allocated to routes 1 & 2 at peak times and may see work elsewhere on the network. Vehicle is fitted with Wi-Fi allowing it to run on eXpress services if needed. More purchases of this type are planned.

The first 66 plate vehicle in the KHCT fleet, entered service 1st September 2016. High spec vehicle which has Wrightbus's latest bodywork. Bus is exclusively for the X46 service.

Optare Metrodecker (Mercedes-Benz OM934LA)

A brand new Optare Metrodecker has just joined the fleet, the vehicle joins as part of a partnership between KHCT and Optare. The vehicle once registered, will go onto the X46 service between Hull & York to provide the manufacturer with long distance fuel economy data as well as gain customer & driver feedback. At the end of the data analysis period the vehicle will join KHCT on a permanent basis with the possibility of placing an order for further examples.
